LEGAL / TERMS
Terms of use
These terms govern your use of the MergePulse macOS app, website, and downloads. By using MergePulse, you agree to them.
Effective September 20, 2026
Using MergePulse
MergePulse is a macOS utility for viewing and triaging pull requests associated with your authenticated GitHub CLI account. You may use the app only in compliance with these terms, applicable law, and the rules of any repositories and services you access.
License
Subject to these terms, you receive a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use MergePulse for your personal or internal professional use. MergePulse and its design, branding, code, and other materials remain the property of their respective owner. No ownership rights are transferred to you.
Your responsibilities
- You are responsible for your Mac, Git installation, GitHub CLI authentication, repository access, and compliance with your organization’s policies.
- You must have permission to access every repository and pull request you view or check out.
- You are responsible for changes made in local worktrees and for reviewing commands, files, and branches before committing or publishing work.
- You may not use MergePulse to violate law, compromise systems, bypass access controls, or infringe another person’s rights.
GitHub and third-party services
MergePulse depends on macOS, Git, the GitHub CLI, GitHub, and your chosen IDE. Those products and services are provided by third parties under their own terms. MergePulse is not affiliated with or endorsed by GitHub, Inc. Third-party changes, outages, permission decisions, or API limits may affect the app.
Downloads and updates
Downloads may be replaced as new versions are released. Compatibility, features, and system requirements may change. Homebrew and Mac App Store distribution may be offered in the future but is not currently guaranteed. You are responsible for maintaining backups before installing software or creating worktrees.
Product boundaries
MergePulse summarizes pull-request metadata and provides handoffs to GitHub, local worktrees, and your IDE. It does not guarantee that a pull request is safe, correct, mergeable, or complete. Stack relationships are inferred from branch metadata and may be ambiguous or incorrect. Always verify repository state before relying on it.
Availability and changes
MergePulse may be modified, suspended, or discontinued at any time. Features may be experimental, incomplete, or unavailable. We may update these terms by posting a revised version with a new effective date. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.
Disclaimer of warranties
To the fullest extent permitted by law, MergePulse is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. This includes implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, accuracy, and uninterrupted or error-free operation.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the developer of MergePulse will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, source code, profits, goodwill, or business opportunity arising from your use of or inability to use MergePulse. Any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded is limited to the amount you paid for MergePulse during the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim.
Termination
Your permission to use MergePulse ends if you materially violate these terms. You may stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it and removing its local data and worktrees. Provisions that logically should survive termination—including ownership, disclaimers, and liability limitations—will survive.
